In case you’re wondering what happened to Friday, no, it didn’t happen. I got home so late after Team Canada that I slept in. I was thinking of riding Friday evening, but too many errands got in the way. If I’d been less diligent about working, I could have gone while the CRV was in for its service…but that wouldn’t have been smart. So, no riding Friday.
Today was my second time up Haist St. in Pelham. Fun. I remember that hill killing me in previous years. This year, I’m handling it a little better, I think. Could be the carnivore…
Anyway, I put it into my 3rd top cog (small front ring) and muscled my way up the hill. It was hard, but as Choi Sensei said, people need to know the difference between pain and suffering, and injury. There was suffering, but no injury 🙂
It’s only day 6. I have to keep reminding myself of that. I don’t want to blow my legs up. But going down the hill in Fonthill on Hwy. 20 is soooo glorious. 🙂
Day 6
29.11 km | 25.7 Avg | 64.1 Max | 1:07:51 hh:mm:ss
79.42 km this week | 142.9 km cumulative
